When choosing our region, we wanted to make as big of an impact as possible. After choosing Kenya, Nairobi, we decieded to focus on slum Dandora and its notorius dumping site.

This video below illustrates the issue that inspired us to concentrate on people working on the dump site of Dandora and to provide them a stable and safe working environment.

Problems that people of Dandora face in their life in daily basis and what inspired us:

• Struggle that families face to get their basic needs

• Number of children dropping out of school

• Number of diseases recorded from respiratory problems

• People getting injured from the dumb site

• Temporal built structures and the activities on the site

The actual idea:

Our idea is to rent out equipment, such as masks, gloves, lights and carts. The goal of this is to make people's working environment safer, improve their health conditions and increase the productivity of people. Our customers are going to pay us by handing us differentiate trash. This is going to impact on the life of our customers, who will receive a stable higher income and who will risk less to contract diseases.
