Our customer segment is composed by:
  1. Men\Women working to pick up trash in Dandora. these are the main customers

  2. Recycling companies which are secondary customers

 

 

Geographical factors:
  1. The size of the dumpsite is about 30 acres

  2. People on the dumpsite

  3. Potential customers are approximately 30,000 people

  4. Kenya/Nairobi/Dandora/Dump site

 

 

Social status of our customers:
  1. Bottom of the pyramid

  2. Those people are struggling daily to survive, risking their lives in order to provide food for the family

  3. Their daily income is estimated around 300 to 450 shillings daily, while food groceries cost around 150 shillings

  4. They work everyday from 7 am to 5pm, through toxic wastes, risking to be contaminated

  5. They have to be treated by a medician, on average, 2 times a month, paying 1000 shilling each time

  6. There lives evolve around the site

  7. They work up very early waiting for tracks to bring in new thrash

  8. Scramble for wastes from the tracks and get to find food among the wastes that they normally feed

  9. They need to secure heaps of trash that they will work on until the sun sets

  10. They have formed social community groups among themselves

  11. These groups have been a source of comfort and as well as the source of extra money through an activity called Chama, (Chama is one way they loan each other reasonable some of money per time)

 

 

DEMOGRAPHY:
  1. Both female and male above the age of 18years

  2. 2/3 o the workers are males, due to discrimination

  3. 500000 people live in the slum near by the dumpsite

 

 
OUR LEVEL OF AMBITION:
  1. To improve the working conditions of our customers.

  2. To increase the daily production of clients

  3. Creating a positive impact on the lives of the people working in Dandora , our aim is to raise their standards of living.
